The Emanage is crap. Don't waste your time or money on that garbage.

Can you fit a distributor to your car?

I am pretty sure the answer is no, unless you some how let condition the OBD1 ecu to fire you COP, which I believe 7th gens have. So if that is the case, the answer is no.
Get AEM.. or I saw something on a 7th gen forum for tuning, but I forget what it was called.

****. i think ill go with the emanage then. any1 got a tip or 2 with that? anyway. ive heard things abt the new obd2 ecu's having closed loop mode. will i eventually get into a situation that the stock ecu self compensate itself or disregard readings from the emanage therefore causig me to lean out, wrong ignition timing bla bla bla?

Re: (jacky599r)
E-manage does +/-20% fuel adjustment, max. This is not enough to get a decent idle with 450cc injectors that casual turbo enthusiasts run.
Yes, the stock OBD2 ECU self-adjusts under closed loop. Furthermore, so does every O2 sensor equipped ECU ever made. Your point is ???
You need to read up a bit on fuel injection, what open/closed loop is, etc, before you buy anything. Short of taking your car with a pile of money to someone you trust (who smay not know what they are doing, either) and letting them do everything, no one here can give you a simple recommendation without getting you into a can of worms. Once you know a little more, it would be easier for you to know what you want/need, and for others to steer you toward what you want/need.

yeah. i read some. im just afriad that the stock ecu will correct the e manage fuel settings as it is also a hack right? and i can adjust ignition timing with no probs no matter what right? with or without distributor. and im also worried about partial throttle settings. will the ecu eventually lean out on me? just hoping for a daily reliable 10psi boosted civic. thats all. thanks

Run a standalone that can deal with your coil on plug ignition system.
Some people don't like to hear that, but it really *is* the easiest and cheapest solution. D17's are cheap, but between their cost, everything to dress them, and your labor... standalone + tuning gets cheap.

Re: (J. Davis)
i'm willing to bet you could put a y8/z6 head on the d17 block and run a distributor, and actually if i remember right the stock head has post for mounting one...maybe a simple cam swap and some wiring and you could put one on it...??

ive seen ppl running the7th gen withz6 head.cool stuff. but i guess its really too much of a hassel. any standalone to rec? will itbe too overkill for a daily 10 psi setup.
