The one on a friend's CRX didn't make the first psi until 4800 and was a slow spool to 3 psi @ 5500 at which point it started spooling quick. That's a little laggy, IMO. FYI, it was also the only T70 I've seen that held together okay-ish; 6000 miles and the shaft was scarred, discolored, and warped.

i would agree with that...it does take most of that rpm range to make 0-7 or so psi...but it seems like once it makes over 7-8 ish, spool comes on quick to 15. im sure the initial lag has to do with the fact that its a twin scroll exhaust housing and im not using a twin scroll manifold.

This one was a single entry. Sucked for a streetcar, to be honest, needed a 75 shot for minimum acceptable fail.

Thing is the Assraped In A Dark Alley T70 has a P-trim T04 turbine wheel on a skinny T3 shaft, and the K26/27-ish CHRA architecture will fit a Garrett T04 turbine housing if you machine the housing 0.040-0.080 to offset the huge gap between Garrett housing and chinese turbine.

So I'm assuming you have at least $300 saved up to pay for the tuning? If you are going to more than triple the stock output on a motor, you better have a helluva bigger budget than you have now. If you can't afford a good turbo, what if your tranny takes a ****? Axles snap in 3? What if your 't70' blows its load (oil) into your intake mani at 500whp and leads to a melted piston??

To answer those questions, YOU ARE expletiveED without a bigger budget. Your motor will be as powerful as your weakest link, and a blown, oil-puking turbo means it will be weaker than a stock USDM motor.

BTW to answer your original questions - yes it needs a restrictor, and I recall a DA teg that used this turbo. Lagged to all hell, but supposedly could beat stock mustangs.</TD></TR></TABLE>
yes i already have the money i dont have to worry about that i work at the #1 auto auction in the world and they pay quite well, for tuning and i already have s300, for the hell of it i was going to put it on my b16 just to see what kind of power i could make adn when that breaks al slap in the build gsr(plus it will let me see how the turbo holds up), as for axles il use autozone life time waranty till gators come off back order till then i will just preload the oem. tranny wise il send eathe the gsr or b16 gear set(still un decited on wich one i want to use) to libertys gears

The difference is in a turbine housing. They sell both styles, you know.

While i was tuning a h22 with that same turbo, it took a **** on the dyno. The blades made a nice metal to metal sound on the compressor housing.

+1 I experienced the same thing, same turbo, also happened on the dyno, also on an H22.
