I have a DIY boost controller that I made via the DSM instructions.

Works well for me, Holds 7PSI steady.

I have a 15 dollar one I bought from some shop on ebay. It holds boost rock solid at 15psi for me. I built a diy one on my old setup and it worked okay but it was touchy as hell to adjust and needed to be readjusted ever few weeks. It seems that the spring I used was too firm so if you build a diy one it might take a little trial and error to find a setup that works perfect.
