eBay Manifolds
I'm looking into some equal-length stainless steel manifolds sold on eBay and I'm wondering if anyone here has used them and would like to leave some feedback. Specifically I'm referring to the $225 equal-length manifold and downpipe offered in the following auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33742 by SSAutochrome.com
Some pics:
They're made out of SUS304 steel.
Share.

Re: eBay Manifolds (mr_mbuna)
to sum it up quick...manifold will crack, wastegate is positioned HORRIBLY and it will crack
save you money and buy something stronger, or a cast revhard/drag/ect.

What he said. ^
Not flaming but do a search for Spark or Meng there are a few horror stories out there.I seem to remember one guy who had one and the WG runner fell off.
The welds aren't that great and the material isn't that thick.
Supposedly with some bracing of the mani they hold up ok. However, it seems kind of shitty to pay $225 for something, and then you have to fix it before you even use it.
I suggest saving up some more cash for a RH or an InlinePro.

Re: eBay Manifolds (bluboy)
I've witnessed the self destruction of one of those manifolds myself on my friends car. It lasted about4 hours of driving before the cracks started. Not only did the wastegate runner fall of and the t3 flange crack all the way around but even the seams in the piping from when it is made(can be seen from inside the piping and runs parallel w/ the piping) cracks open. Terrible product, I'm rather surprised that they can get away with selling them.

Re: eBay Manifolds (HavokRacing)
So what manifolds in this price range do you guys recommend? I want to keep A/C and have a T3 flange. Drag, Revhard, MaxRev, SFP, and Inline Pro are all the ones I know about. Seems like you're lucky to get one at $200 used.
