ebay intercooler piping kit good?
yes i searched but only found topics about bov, complete kits and intercoolers.
alright so im figuring that piping is piping... but what do i know... is ebay piping just as good as any other piping?
if i get a universal kit off ebay will it work for me or am i going to end up having fitment issues?
i have an sohc zc non vtec mpfi and im looking to put a t3 turbo in with an hf manifold and this intercooler
also is it going to make any differance to me if i go with 2.5' piping or 3'?
i guess my main concern would be it not lining up correctly

Re: ebay intercooler piping kit good? (soo slow)
I got one off of homemadeturbo.com for $95 shipped. You can get them from Donald125 brand new. Only thing is his kits are silver. I'm pretty sure 2.5" is good enough. Only thing I don't like is there isn't enough 90* bends. It looks ok to me but the couplers are kind of cheap. You will have to cut them to make it fit though.

You could do that, or order your kit from Racing Solutions and buy a 90 dollar HF flux core welder and accomplish the same thing. You could also make your exhaust.

Re: (Snafubmx234)
making my own with there pieces looks fun!!! lol
but it almost looks like buying everything separate would cost more...
would i buy there tubing and cut off the extra that i dont need? is that where the welding comes in? or where does the welding come in?
also can you link me to this said "HF flux core welder"?
although im sure i would use the welder in the future it seems like your saying the welder costs 90$ then i need all that tubing that all together will cost over 100...

Re: (stemiched)
You can get an intercooler kit from racing solutions for 49 dollars plus shipping. It contains all of your bends that you need. HF = Harbor Freight. Search their website for the welder. If you need, buy a chop saw too for ~49 dollars. So let's say you're 200 into it, but you've purchased two priceless (in my opinion) tools. So now you get to start visualizing how you need to run your piping. Get all your cuts figured out, and tack it together. Once you get everything fit and tacked, turn you heat/wire speed down on the welder and go. Practice first, obviously. It seems like a lot of work, but knowing you did it yourself makes it worth it.
On another note, you could use your welder to help other people out when they need a small welding job done. Do a few of those and there's your 90 dollars back.
And about that ebay piping kit. I'm telling you right now that it will need to be cut/modified. Also, you'll have to deal with couplers blowing off and all that fun stuff.

Re: (Snafubmx234)
i will definitely look into this option, i was afraid that the eBay kit would need chopping, so either way i have to chop anyway... i know i can find other uses for a welder anyway
and they have the exhaust manifold and downpipe flange on that cite also, if nothing else im getting the exhaust manifold flange from there

Re: (stemiched)
I got the SRE piping kit off of ebay.
PROS:
-perfect fitment on the car
-already flanged for a BOV
-bead rolled
-all aluminum piping
-mandrel bent
CONS:
-need to modify the piping a little to fit your exact setup(I only needed to make 2 cuts and welds on the lower 1st pipe) for everything to work)
overall
