Default Ebay catch can's vs everything else

I've been looking at buying a catch can soon. Something such as what FCS or BWR sells, but I just found out that they now have china made catch can's that look similar. I do realize that there is not really much to a catch can in general. I am just curious if this is one of those times where I could cheap out a little bit and not regret it? Are the cheap ones even baffled?

I would run that catch can. Mine was made by Turbo Elements and was about 150 bux but the can you posted looks legit enough. I think most of the big brand named cans are way overpriced.

agreed for the most part here, although you do get what you pay for. Unless it specifically says that its baffled I would assume that it is not. Welds, baffles, fittings etc will be lower quality in general when going with a knock off.

Personally I am happy with BNR fittings I would not hesitate to buy one of these from him if I was going to upgrade (I have the smaller can version), catch cans pretty much last forever so its kind of a one shot deal might be more expensive up front but I think you would be happier in the long run with a quality piece.

I agree with this.. I also have the B&R catch can system, but, slightly customized/modified to more my liking.

This is one of those items in which the way the system is put together is more important than the full sum of the parts used. So, sure, you can use lesser expensive cans to do what toy need to do, but regardless of full cost, if it's not done properly, you have performed all for naught anyway.

There are several ways to make the system for turbo retrofits like ours, so that is where the cost variance can change.
This a case where you won't hear me bitch about eBay/knock-off stuff so much. The can itself is only one part of the system

Anyone have a picture of this Neukin catch can in a car? It would be nice to not have to relocate my battery.

neukin is no longer is business so you can scratch that off the list. I think go autoworks was working on something that did not reloacte battery. or even better just get a standard 2 port catch can that most of us use, there is not need for such large ones as you are looking at

its a bit older of a pic but thats my setup. -12 off the valve cover to a home made catch can. i basically welded a box and some -12 threaded nipples to it. there is a baffle plate inside toward the top. I used to run the back of the block fittings but once i cranked the power to 500 or a bit over it would push oil and fill the can like every 2 pulls at the track. no issues like that from the valve cover.

whatever one you choose dont use one with the drainback. the oil in the can gets mixed with condensation producing that chocolate milk look i wouldnt want that in my motor

Almost went with the fcs catch can, but they raised the price of it on thier website of course when I went to purchase. So I ended up buying one from KLM for a good price.
