Eagle rod clearence?
I have some eagle rods for my Y8, The box product number says CRs5394H3D, but the stamp on the actual rod says 5934AHO....That being said, do I need to notch the block?
Not sure but why not install the crank and install the rod without a piston. Hold the upper part of the rod centered in the cylinder and rotate the crank. That will tell you if the block would have to be notched. You should probably do this for each cylinder to know for sure.
I will be having a shop build the bottom end for me, just wanted to let them know before hand if it need it, but I'm sure when they are doing clearences, it will be obvious.
