The rods are made of 4340 certified steel. This kind of steel is not that difficult to make properly and is plenty strong. I have seen plenty of fucked up Crowers.

I dunno if this fact would comply to rod manufacturing, however I am sure most of you know the US steel industry cannot compete with foreign steel manufactuers. And one of the major reasons is the quality of the steel, which foreign manufactuers produce steel with greater effciency and quality. I assume crower would purchase steel from a US source versus Eagle and probe produced overseas. I dunno much about quality of steel or control of quality, but maybe this information could shed some light on the subject.

We needed a set of rods to do an overnight repair and Jojo pulled out a new set of Eagles and said "Here, you can have these" I can't see inside his motors but he sure has them in his posession.

BTW Rocket, I could not find the Chinese certification mark on them

The certification marks become invisible upon x-ray inspection. I'll go to freakin Taiwan and see if the steel mill is certified. Like I said before it's not that hard to make this steel. Now if it were say Aermet 100 or MP35N or H11 Tool Steel I would be like it better come from a US mill like Timken or some fancy mill in France or the UK.

Many top racers use Cunningham from a reliable souce who had the rod drop on his head and the rod bolt hand cunningham on it.

I'm chinese certified....or at least half.
Sorry, had to say that.

Hmmm, might be something for me to try in the future with these probe rods.

I have a feeling he'll make more in the near future. Or at least more useable power.

There are many many sellers that will sell you eagles. Just look at the top post of this forum or post in Best Buys that you are looking for some Eagle rods. I am sure you'll have like 10 sellers contacting you.
