Default eagle cranks

I am starting a new build, and I saw a deal on a eagle knife edge crank, I was wondering if anyone used these cranks, and what opinions people have. I honda cranks get the job done at high hp so you you dont have to tell me that, I just wanna know about the eagle cranks. I plan to use eagle rods so I figure they would match perfectly for bearing selection. plus I can get pistons, rods, and crank for $1100.

Unless you want to waste your cash then there is no point. Honda did a GREAT job designing the OE forged cranks and they have no problem holding any amount of power you throw at them

I see now. there is no use spending the extra $$$ on a eagle crank, even if its a great deal.
I would be better off using a stock crank.
but I was also looking at the light weight knife edge cranks what about those? andy benefits?

I/many believe a lightened crank to be weaker, and you only need knife-edging on cranks that sit in the oil like on V8's - we don't have to worry about that

oh great I just bought an Eagle crank only becuase it is stroked. I wanted to use stock crank but couldnt. I could have used an LS crank but they aren't good to reving upto 8500 all the time.

Any good stories about eagle cranks?

BTW-Special for 300 shipped for the 4340. NOt too bad.

You are soooo MISLED and LOST man! Many many many Sport FWD and Pro cars out there are running stock LS cranks and revving to 10,500 rpms!

Great $300 spent

That's from my friends car, I help him out a bit with it. This the worst destruction of a motor I've ever seen. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was actually pretty fun taking everything apart.

sure hope eagle helped him out paying for the new motor, damn! the only other time I've anything like that was when Christian Rado split his integra motor in half trying to run 10's in his early days.
I am glad I started this post. I was hesitant about it because I did not wanna get a negative reaction, but damn!

bob saget!!!! that thing's fucked.

rods held up like a champ though.

but im willing to bet that was a 600+hp motor at over 9 grand. something tells me thats not a 320hp motor idling at a red light.

im glad i was IN that car when that happened would suck to loose a foot.
