Default E85 stations across the USA

I'm providing this link for those looking for E85 Stations near you. If you know of a station that is not on this list the link will allow you to submit the information.

http://www.e85refueling.com/

If you are curious about E85 we have threads available and this site helps. I also have a PDF file they sent me if anyone is interested in it. I can email it.

Use E85, burns cleaner and it's basically a great substitute for race gas at the pump.

Know the consistences in your area so you don't make the mistake in Using e70 when your tuned on E85.

I'd talk to management as to why. Even raw (E100) automotive ethanol is denatured before its allowed to be sold - the law requires 3% (or 5%) gasoline to make sure its unsuitable for human consumption. You could always get a used fuel cell and tell them it's a racecar...

If they say its a legal issue with it not being a EPA-recognized flex-fuel car, you can always pull the "off-road only" baloney, which takes EPA mostly out of the picture. You could also tell them how your lawyer alerted you that it's susidized by your own tax dollars.

as of january 1st, the new spec for denaturant blending is 2.0-2.2% natural gasoline, and allowable water content went from .8% max to 1.1% max per Karl Fischer titration.
Just FYI.

I had this issue with a station in NM. They said it was because they dont have a license for bulk selling/transportation... something about how the containers are not grounded or "certified", and only can transfer fuel into vehicle tanks.
To me its a crock of **** because you can go fill up a 10 gal can for a lawn mower... nobody seems to care about that.

It won't affect much, but the old standard for denaturant was up to 5% and now its around 2%, the only significance of this is that most ethanol plants will denature the 200 proof alcohol with natural gasoline, which is different than refined gasoline (natural gasoline is some by product of oil refining where they capture the vapors and condense them, so it is really low octane, very cheap), so the less denaturant the ethanol has, the better the quality is. As far as the moisture numbers, this change was made so that ethanol industry can now start using gasoline pipelines to transfer their product, and with pipeline usages comes slightly more water content due to the nature of the process. They slightly relaxed the standards to account for this, but I wouldn't be too alarmed as the new maximum water content allowed in ethanol is still significantly less than the amount allowed for in-ground storage tanks at gas stations.

Karl Fischer titration is the method used to determine water percentage of a substance in low amounts.

The user-level change is a slightly higher ethanol %, by about 2-3%, using a lower octane denaturing ingredient. I don't have a good calc with me atm, but I suspect the octane # should stay roughly the same but require 1-2% more volume to keep the same AFR's.

Cliffs - ~0.25 point AFR lean-out w/o changing tune, very slight milage decrease.

Virginia Beach FINALLY has a E85 station here on the military base (for public use)

I'm stoked, I don't have to drive to Richmond (1.5 hours away)

sorry if someone already asked this, but if im running standard pump gas what do i have to do, if anything, to run E85??? the closest station to me is 80 miles, which isnt worth the drive, however im sure there will be a station serving up a nice helping of this locally fairly soon. thanks for posting this

Well if you don't have a means to tune your car, the car will run super lean on E85. But if you are able to tune it, then just add a hell of a lot more fuel to your fuel map! I have 1000cc injectors in my car and the car drives add idles so sweet. Way better than when I was running 93 oct.
