e85 or c16?
ok so im building a 2.0 on a 4094 full race top mount 9:1 compression manley rods ....
trying to make 7-the 750 range now my question is e85 or c16 will 1600s be enough on e85 or will i have to run a 8 injector setup ?and can i use a stock timing map with e85 or do i have to make a custom one ? will i make more power on lower boost with the e85 than c16 ? is there any disadvantages for either over the other one ? hope to hear some input thanks
vince

tuning will be pretty much the same as pump except for the fast that you'll need more of it than regular gas. but e85 is def. better. not sure how big your injectors need to be to run high hp but 1000's will net you a little over 500. so i think you'll be fine with 1600's.

havent seen any for sale yet but try looking for 2000cc injectors and get an aeromotive eliminator fuel pump or the drag pump. also you gotta remember the E85 is alcohal not gasoline so of course tuning is different. when you compare the two to each other at same boost levels you will see higher with alcohal because as it burns it has a cooling effect also theres no detenation. you need to do alot of searching theres no clear one choice answer unless your going by which one you can buy daily and thats E85

idk where you live, but i know that the nearest gas station to get e85 is well over an hour away
that alone made my decision...

im about 20-30 miles from an airforce base an they have E85 in that area so i do what i gotta do . and for nexxxt you have to modify the fuel map for both fuels so dont worry about it just get a tunable ECU without one theres no point in going higher than 230hp

wow 719?! that's crazy...
how does something like that idle w/ 1600cc injectors and e85?

Re: (tony1)
i know. i was pointing out that the creator of the thread was asking if he could us eht stock timing map on a 700+whp car.. didnt make too much sence, if hes asking what fuel to use for that hp, he should know the car needs a new fuel and timing map for every little thing he does...

Very nice. Do you know if it was a winter blend? I assume plugs looked good? What heat range did the motor like best?
