Default E-Ram . Do they really create 1 psi

I know people have asked multiple times on here asking if this thing works. I was wondering if anyone has installed one and put a boost guage on there car to see if the car actually comes out of vacuum and goes to 1 pound of boost. No flames. I just want to know out of curiosity. Becuase they advertise in honda tuning every month.

No. Honda-tuning just advertises it because they're getting paid to. Period.

I pay you - you put my add in the magazine............Honda-tuning says "hell yeah we'll do it! With a big smile - hoping non of its readers would actually buy it."

The parasitic drag that the motor creates (additional amperage it needs from the alternator) will most likely hurt you more than the alleged 1 Psig will help you.

It's a scam, end of story. I've researched so called "e-boosting" systems and my conclusion is that as long as cars run on 12 volt electrical systems, you won't have a motor powerful enough to produce boost. You would need 36 to 42 volt electrical systems to generate enough energy to spin a motor that big. Bottom line - e-boosting won't happen for another 10 years, and even then, it's unlikely and mostly not feasible.

Thanks 4 good replys.

I know its just a ad, so honda tuning just puts it in because they were getting paid.
But if you realize alot of ricers read that magazine, so i know they have to be selling if they are still advertising in the magazine for so long.

For reference, go look at the 3-5hp electric motor in your home's central A/C unit (it's bigger than a gallon paint can) and just imagine how much a 15hp electric motor would weigh.
