E-manage vs. Hondata...opinions/experience needed...
I hope I'm not beating a dead horse or anything but I wanted some informed opinions on these two options for use on my Turbo ITR. I was dead set on Hondata and began collecting the parts needed etc to make this happen, but realized the price was getting a bit high. Then a few of my buddies cornered me at a local shop and tried to talk me into the emangage and said it was a good alternative and WAY cheaper. So below are the prices for each complete setup with all the parts etc. needed to plug in/install and then put the car on the dyno for tuning(no software for either, I have friends with all the software needed for each)Price includes the correct injectors for each setup as well. Which would you choose if money was an issue, and wanted the best bang for your buck??
The car:
01 ITR, 9 to 1 Arias Pistons, Inlinepro blockguard, stock everything else...Turbonetics 60-1HIFI turbo...want to make roughly 400whp after tuning
Hondata S200 w/ boost, Chipped P28 ECU w/ obd2 connector, 720CC injectors, GM 3-bar map sensor, resistor box etc. $1240 total
Greddy emanage w/ all needed harnesses, sensors etc for boost, 550 injectors etc.
$735
Sorry for the long post, thanks for any helpful information.

The subject has been beaten to death. The emanage is a piggy back computer that really doesnt work all that well. The hondata is far superior, it might seem like more money but you'll get better results in the end.

doesn't work that well?? sure hondata is better but e-manage will kick a v-afc/hack
any day, from what I understand it's the best piggy back currently on the market

e-manage and afc are virtually the samething.only real differenceis e-manage
doubles as an additional injector controller

So what you're saying is you don't have any experience first hand with the E-manage, but you do know that it will kick the crap out of the Apexi AFC boxes.
I guess they must have found some new spectacular way to control the voltage signal sent from the MAP to the ECU!

I've seen multiple cars dynoed using e-manage and seen multiple cars dynoed w/v-afc. I know e-man isn't a gift from God or something, standalones are always best to use if possible. Apex Power FC

Your setup is way too nice to trust it to an EManage setup IMHO... Buying the E-Manage is like buying a Greddy turbo kit, you get your foot in the door but the potential is limited. I would get a Hondata, no question... What happens if you want to run larger injectors? The E-manage may be cheaper in the short term, but I think you will be much happier with the tuning ability of a Hondata setup. I am sick to death of replacing outgrown parts
