dynoed my ls vtec turbo
What do you guys think
I put down 234 whp 197 tq last night @ 7psi, hondata s300. I was aiming for 10psi but my manual boost controller keeps boost peak so i had to keep it at 7psi, I need to get electronic boost controller or upgrade to 10psi spring
Ls Vtec turbo
b18b1 block
Wiseco forged 8:8 pistons
Eagle h beam rods
B16 head with gsr cams
Turbonetics t3 t4 turbo 57 trim
Drag Mani
Rc 550 cc
Gsr tranny with itr lsd
Aem Fuel Rail
HKS ssq
2.5 downpipe to 2.5 5zigen fireball exhaust No CAT
I will post dyno chart later on, Im hitting track on Wednesday. What do you guys think i will hit 1/4 with street tires?

Re: (AbitAvenger)
yes it was conservatively tuned. i have low compression 8:8 pistons remember guys, lower compression yields less power than high compression pistons

Re: (Dual Cam Racing)
i DID up the boost to 10 psi last night but having problem with boost creep. My ghetto manual boost controller wasnt stable. Once I upgrade to electronic boost controller or 10psi spring, I will up the boost. You can go wrong with 197 tq though , I gained 25 tq with 1 psi of boost, last dyno was 171 tq @ 6psi. I will post dyno chart when I get home.

Up your downpipe and full exhaust to 3" or you will snuff out that turbo pretty quick compared to upgrading. For your numbers around 11psi or so, look for an easy 50whp gain from 2.5" dp to 3". Easier on your turbo and motor and keeps those IAT's down.

you're definitely gonna need to up your exhaust to 3inch if you go with a 3inch downpipe. and just get a bigger wastegate spring. costs less than a boost controller

Re: dynoed my ls vtec turbo (PnoyLSV-T)
i have almsot the exact same turbo setup-log mani, 2.5" dp and exhaust, no cat, same turbo and bov. i just have a stock b18b1 engine tho and laid down 242whp/210wtq on a mustang dyno tuned with on crome on ~11psi tuned very conservatively....
i would think that you should kill those numbers with your setup

Yeah no kidding, but he said it was only on 6 or 7 psi if I read that correct. I have a stock b18b with 2.25 inch DP and 3 inch catless exhaust on 10 psi running 245 and 222. I hope to be near 300whp and 265 tq when I add my vtec head, new 3 inch DP and 2 psi.

OK? AROUND 7-8 I WAS AROUND 190WHP/180WTQ. YOUR NUMBERS STILL SUCK.

Thats a lot of torque to be asking for on slapping a vtec head on and upping 2psi.
I put down 255/222 on my ls-t (near yours) at 11psi, my roommate put down 320/218 on his lsv-t, both at 11psi.
Usually on the b18 bottom end the torque starts to drop off exponentially at about 240 - 250. Also, guess it depends on how you tune, and we were pretty conservative I should mention as well
Get'er done.

Kinda hard to compare those numbers w/o listing the setup. as i'm sure you know, 11psi on a t25 vs 11psi on a GT42r are two completely different worlds
But i've seen quite a few built b series lay down 500+whp and 350ish wtq...

Re: (CivicVX94)
hey guys > i went to track today but it sucks, cause as soon as I line up I had to put on helmet, and it was too late false start, I didnt see staging lights. I had a problem afterwards, i was making a squeaking noise, We checked and alternator belt became loose. We tighten belt bolt and no more noise. Why did it get loose the alternator belt when I ran it one time??

where did you hear this?
your alternator probably moved because you didnt torque down the bolt all the way or you had a lot of wheel hop. how bad did your dash shake and what kind of clutch are you running?
i would goto 3" downpipe and get rid of that ghetto mbc as they are usually nothing but problems. the turbo xs ones are pretty good but electronic is the best way to go.

Re: (zeimbo)
yea i prolly have alot of wheel hop. I have lsd though and my alternator belt moved alot 1/2 inch. The bolt was loose also. We tighten it and no more noise rubbing noise. Is it because im running stock motor mounts?? I was on dyno on MOnday and notice my motor pulling back when hitting vtec, it was moving a lot not steady. Should i get torque dampener NRG or INgalss, Do they really work? Or should i just upgrade to hasport motor mounts?? Well does n't lower compression yield less power than higher compression when tuned with same psi??

Re: (PnoyLSV-T)
you dont need to spend the money on hasport- avid motor mounts are pretty much the same thing. if you really wanna go budget, you can get some of the mounts in the classifieds section or innovative mounts. not sure how jerky those are tho..
