Default Dyno results: D16Z6 Topmount 57trim @ 28psi Neptune --> 441whp 333tq

i finally got all the parts i had laying around onto the car. i basically redid ~90% of the car.
it took a few weeks of late nights in the garage and at the shop, but we got the car done in time for nhra
huge thanks to everyone that helped me though all this!!!

for the people that dont know the history of the car, here are previous dynos/setups:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1410697 greddy 19t kit and neptune
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1431582 greddy kit maxed out neptune
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1468119 log manifold and 25 psi neptune

my setup:
1994 Civic DX hatch.

block:
d16z6 srp 9.0-1 pistons / eagles rods.
STOCK SLEEVES
micro polished crank.
block notched for eagle rods.
ACL bearings.
blocked decked 1 time.
This motor was assembled by myself and Servion (with help from everyone in HRC)

head:
unported head with ARP studs.
milled 1 time.
elebrock performer x intake manifold.
max bore 62mm throttlebody
RC 750's
zex springs and retainers, 59300 cam with a aem cam gear (we didnt get a chance to mess with it on the dyno)

tranny:
action 2md unspring
OEM axles.
and a few oil leaks around the pan

turbo:
Turboelements topmount
t3t4e 57 trim.
.63 ar turbine, stage 3 wheel
.60 ar comp housing 57 trim wheel
3 in downpipe. built by me
3 in exhaust with apex n1 can.
Blitz BOV
31x11x3 IC with 2.5 in charge piping
plx-300 wideband o2 .
greddy profec b spec-2.

tuning was done via neptune, with servion running the show.
boost was set at 28 psi on my profec
running ngk plugs 8 heat range with a 22 gap (napa part # 4554)
total timing was 13*
injector duty cycle is @ 75%
fuel pressure is stock, stock rail, stock lines with a 255 walbro high pressure in tank pump
spinning the motor to ~8k

final power was 441 hp and 333 tq.
here was the final dyno.

car was dyno'd in las vegas on 100 oct pump gas
anyone from any of the local boards, please keep my setup off those boards, i dont want the car to be stolen. thanks

here is a pic of the car:

i have a new IC now though

motor shot:

dyno video:

huge thanks to Servion (jeremy) for all the tuning. he really knows what he is doing and i feel lucky to have him tuning my car.
thanks ALL of HRC for the help with the build.
thanks to Hondoctors in las vegas and all of the AGturbo crew for all their help and support.
thanks to Tim @ Turboelements.com for all the parts, advice and support. (Tim - i will get you engine bay pics once i get the engine bay cleaned up )
thanks for all the answers i have recieved here.

with this power, i hope i can see some low 11 sec passes and possibly a 10 sec pas if i can get some suspension work and a good set of tires.
as of now the car spins the tires (bfg DR's) in 1st - 4th gear even with gear based timing retard (option in neptune). it is kinda scary to drive on the street, but ill get used to it

if you have any questions or comments, i will do my best to answer them.
thanks

AWESOME!!!

Glad to see you finally got it all together, and making excellent power.

How do you like the drivability/spool now with the .63A/R?

thanks,
if i can learn to drive like you, id be set

the 63 turbine isnt as bad as i thought it would be,
i get 28 psi by ~6100 rpm.
it starts to pull really hard at ~5200 and a few hundred rpms later you better have both hands on the wheel

i can drive arond town and get 30 miles a gallon (like i did a few days before the dyno) and boost is a downshift away.

very nice. I cant believe you made that with a unported head on the SOHC. I guess the intake manifold and the TB had something to do with it.

you will get used to the power quick

got any pics of that top mount?

platinum.

i was looking for 405 ish (just enough to still make 400 whp with smoothing turned up )
servion though 375 was a better goal because of the unported head.

but when the baseline pull was 247 @ 10 psi on the street tune, we knew we could get 400

i think once i get the power to stick to the ground (im gonna wire neptune up to change my profec from low to high boost setting in 3rd gear) i might get used to it.
if that happens i can always throw my race chip (no gear based timing retard, and a higher rpm for full throttle shift) and go around breaking traction in the first 4 gears, thats always enough to put a smile back on my face and make me realize i dont need more power

i still need to clean up the engine bay alittle.
if i can get to it tonight i will get some pics up tomorrow.
i know Tim @ Turboelements is probably waiting on some too, so i wont take forever

nice power!

Nice #'s for sure, congrats!
a for you!

Kinda suprised you didn't make peak whp a little later with the 59300 and that size turbo. Maybe with a tweak of that cam gear you can get it to peak around 7.8k or sumthin.

Very impressive

What's your rev limiter set at? I don't know how high you can safely rev that motor, but with the pink car we had to rev it to 9k for it not to fall on it's face after a shift. The D series tranny ratios suck! Even though it's not carrying power too much, that narrow powerband will kill you if you shift at 8k. Good luck with it, and good job, that's good power for that setup!

Damn, and everyone said the stock SOHC head couldn't flow that much. Simply amazing.

the limiter is set at 8100, but my shift light comes on at 7850 (it takes a sec for my brain to tell me hand to shift )
i will be using full throttle shift so hopefully that will help keep the car in its powerband.
i dont think i want to rev it to 9k. id be scared to rev it that high

i wish i could afford to get the head ported, itd be nice to see what i could make if the flowed anywhere close to a b series head.
anyone wanna sponsor me

we didnt mess with the cam at all.
we were not at our normal dyno house, so it was alittle more expensive.
once we got to 441 whp and jeremy was saying we are pushing the limits of 100 oct, we both decided it would be bes to call it a day.
he will be back to finish a few friends setups, when that happenes we will play with the cam alittle

It would definately be nice to have a ported head. However, this is great to see this much power being made on an unported SOHC head. You may have set a record for that.
