Daily Driving your Turbo Honda/Acura
Hey i was just wondering how many people with boosted hondas use them as there daily drivers, basically meaning that it is the only car you own. Also how much boost are you running on a daily basis. Im planning on eventually going the turbo route with my 95 gsr, and was just wondering if there are any issues that you have had to deal with, driving your turbo honda everyday.
thanks

I think you'll find most of the people here daily drive their turbo honda, I have for most of the time I've had mine, with the exception of winter. I wouldn't recommend having it be your only car though.

I drive mine everyday, to work, school, everywhere. Since this time last year and about 15k miles now today, no problems.

Re: Daily Driving your Turbo Honda/Acura (CzanSOHC)
this is my only car so, i drive it to school, work, to run errands, etc. my original plan was to have a true daily driven, full interior, full exhaust, LS turbocharged hatch in the 10's.
but, having a daily driven turbocharged honda isn't practical because, of theft, cops and breakdowns.
i'm fortunate enough to have other alternatives of transportation i.e. parent's or girlfriend's car.

i have a single cam banger that boosted and i run 7.5 psi all day everyday 366 days a year (leap year) in sum years... my only prob so far was the oil feed line creating a hole in itself...

i drive mine daily. It's my only car. 10psi on pump gas. I try to stay out of boost most of the time so there is less wear and tear, but you got to have alittle fun. Like another person said, you don't want it as your only car, just go out and buy something cheap, that's what i'm doing.

I stay in vacuum most of the time driving around. I also drive a truck due to the cops in my area.

when im boosting, im buying a pos hatch or some honda that i can fit at least 2 people and cargo. i hate driving the streets around here in the rain. the bad parts in the road grab my little crx and take it wherever it wants togo.

Re: Daily Driving your Turbo Honda/Acura (B18C4-T)
I used to drive my car around everyday, and everywhere. Now, just scared of my car getting stolen.
Cant even take it to work.... My friends 97 JDM Civic Hatch (Type R everything...motor, suspension, wheels, interior w/recaros, etc..) was stolen at daylight around 10:30am on a Monday.
Crazy.
But if it wasnt for cars getting stolen that easily around my way, I would drive it everywhere and everyday.

I use to drive mine daily, but I would not reccommned have it as the only car unless you really took your time in doing the turbo set up.
