dump tube emissions question
ok so i tryed searchign but couldnt come up with anything but a number of people debating whether to run open dumptube or to run itinto the exhuast, my prefrence would be to run it open but my question is will this effect anything with emmisions? i live in PA and they dont run an emmisions test but they do a visual inspection of the exhuast to make sure there is a cat etc. would this HAVE to be connected to cat to be legal?

And if in fact they DID see it, I doubt they would know exactly what it was...
You could probably pass it off as some kind of breather.....or something

Re: dump tube emissions question (96EJ8eX)
my dumptube follows my downpipe and dumps under my oil pan. If you did it like that, they would have to get under the car to tell that it's not connected.

I have an open dump and have passed two inspections in PA like this. Most of these guys don't even know what a dumptube is.
