Re: DTA standalone.... (meanteg)
I just installed the P8 pro system in my hybrid civic. It's and exellent system with featues that compare to the motec, but the cam trigger can be a problem if you want to run full sequential.

Tapp, can i ask you why cou chose the p8Pro over the E48 EXP ? I'm trying to determine wich one would best fit my needs... My GSR is daily driven and it will see 20 psi at the drag strip.
"Turbo pressure control with overboost protection."
Does that mean they have an integrated boost controller?

Re: DTA standalone.... (meanteg)
I chose the P8 because I wanted the ability to adjust timing and fuel for each cylinder individually, but the e48 would probably be fine for what you want to do. yes it can control boost, and it has overboost protection you can set to whatever you want. It will cut spark and fuel when it hits whatever manifold pressure you enter. it can also do launch control and traction control but I havent tried those features yet. I you go with the E48 you dont have to worry about a cam sensor, but you will need a crank trigger.
