DSM injectors?
I did a search, I skimmed over tons of archive topics on them.
What generation do the 450's come off of?
What all is needed to run them with Hondata?
A few posts said you need a CUSTOM resistor box, and some say you just need a stock Honda resistor box from a early Civic? Which one, where do you get a custom box at?
I also read one post that said you need the RC adapeter clips to run the DSM injectors on Hondas?
About how much would a set of 4 cost?
I read tons of stuff on them, but didn't get many straight answers!!!

Re: DSM injectors? (BLK94RS)
go to DSM website look for injectors usually the price ranges from 100-150 max for complete set. Not really that expensive.
Second thing you can run the hondata with payntech resistor box its the easy way of doing things or use the resitor from a honda either way it works.
Finally the 450cc come from GEN! turbo 5spd.

Re: DSM injectors? (b18bturbo)
What is the DSM web address? I looked at http://www.dsmtreader.com but really couldn't find many 450's for sale.
Where do you get the Payntech resistor box at? How much does it cost? Is it better than running the Honda resistor box?
What does that mean? They come frome an Generation 5 speed turbo?
Thanks for the info.

Re: DSM injectors? (BLK94RS)
they come from a generation I 5spd which is the older dsm cars.
dsmtrader.com is one place. Thepartstrader.com is the other place. And local scrap yards are another good stop for these inejctors.
The payntech resistor box is like 70 bucks. I know the hondas ones from scrapyards are 20-30 usually.

Or you can buy four 10-ohm 10-watt resistors from Radio Shack for like $4.50 and splice them into the injector leads. If you don't understand how resistors work or how to wire a resistor in series with something, don't ask, just go buy a resistor box and be back in a week asking how to wire it up.

Re: DSM injectors? (integracon)
i hear that all 450cc comes in either the first or the 2nd gen turbo car.. and the auto ones are like 350 or 360 i think.. so you have to make sure it is off a 5 speed turbo one.

Re: DSM injectors? (lswithvtec)
Well I was told the 5spd turbo injectors are 450cc, reagrdless of which generation their off of. I just got ahold of some off a 99GSX ones, and was under the understanding they would fit. Another member on the board said he was runnin the same injectors on his 92 civic(with the use of a resistor pack) I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get an unexpected surprise when I went to install them on my car.

Re: DSM injectors? (integracon)
I checked http://www.thepartstrader.com out, there are several sets of 4 1st gen for under $60.
Does anyone know if there is an advantage to running the Payntech resistor box over the Honda resistor box?
Can anyone confirm that the 450's come off of any 5spd turbo? If so, what generation would be most compatable with my 94 b18b and obd1 ECU?

Re: DSM injectors? (BLK94RS)
My 450's came off a '95 5 speed GSX. They are for sure 2G and I see no reason why the 1G's would have used less. Peace, EV.

Re: DSM injectors? (ElectronVTEC)
my dsm injectors say "B450L" on the side of the clip housing. this looks like stock stamp, although i do not know what year they came out of. the local dsm guys sold them to me for 25.00/set. i got the resistor box off of an early 90's accord. like 25.00 from the junkyard. have yet to run them (i did have them cleaned, flowed, balanced) i am just waiting for my hondata to come back. then turbo time.

Re: DSM injectors? (speed_daemon1)
The 1g Automatic DSM's did in fact have less CC's, trust me on this one for anyone doubting it. The 2g's had the same amount of fuel for each car but the 1g's didnt. The 1g's auto turbo was slightly smaller, it was the 13g as opposed to the 5spd's 14b. There's my dsm facts of the day. Later
