You only have to bore out the seals, just pop them out.

Yeah you really have to bore them out.

Not hard to do and not hard to mess up if you have a dremel tool and 30minutes of time

Otherwise they won't fit correctly (or at all) and the you REALLY have problems

For my 450's in a 1st gen jdm b16 I ordered a set of o-rings from a 95 vtec delsol and the injectors fit perfectly inside. The rings themselves didnt fit my IM though so I used a bench grinder and shaved them down abit, fit nicely.

I slid them over the sanding disc of the dremel. Then I spun them on a piece of sandpaper and slowly shaved off the outsides. Just be careful that you dont over do it. Also dont spin them too fast or they might fly off any youll have to spend $15 to buy another one.

Ive seen a few people around here that said they dont even bore out there seals. They just shoved the injector into the o ring and as the fuel rail was being bolted down, it pushed it down and sealed.

For my setup, I just bored it out with a dremel.

OFF TOPIC: Well if you want to realize and ask yourself, "Was I grammatically correct in spelling out boring as present tense of bore? Wait, no its boreing."

You got it right the first time buddy. When you were little, didn't you learn to always drop the "e" when adding "ing"?

I know, I know, this isn't Grammar school.

just seemed wrong and i didnt want to belittle my thread calling it boring heh... im a little unclear as to boring them out is there any precision or just ball park untill they are flush..this is my first injector experience if you cant tell already.... gotta start somewhere i guess.. what i meant about doing this inside the manifold is that homemadeturbo.com said its easier to do in a intake manifold. but there has to be another way like mentioned just a little more detail

Most of the people who have replied already gave out great suggestions. I personally have 450s though I didn't have to bore it out since someone already did it for me.

Anyhow, if I would do it and I don't want to bore it while inside the intake manifold, I would follow Alchemist method and use a dremel.

thats the recomendation by homemadeturbo use a dremel inside of the intake manifold or one laying around(dont have one laying around)... i understand using a dremel is what i need to do but what is the process ..Alchemist gave his process sounds very effective and im not so sure i understand how it bores them out seems like it would just shrink down the sides from the outside in or maybe i just read it wrong ....im asking if theres other ways to do it... ive been aware of using a dremel from the start....

the first time i put the seal on the injector and tried to put it on, not so smart. then i thought about putting it on the IM first lol. YOu can just shove it in if you put some oil around the injector, it should go in fairly easy. If you dont have a dremel you can use a razor blade to slightly trim the sides until you got a snug fit. Oh yea after you put it in put in 10 watt 10 ohm resistors and after you install it check for leaks, and melting wire or defective restistors. Good luck man
