Default DSM GUYS: Does a Mitsu 16G Bolt Up To OEM 90-94 1st Gen Manifold?

Just a quick question

My buddy at work has a 91 Laser, FWD turbo. Trying ti fix it up and I was giving him price lists and options and such on routes to go. Now he wants to keep his power steering and a/c so I told him to go with the just bigger than stock 16G and I didnt know if it would bolt up to the stock 1st gen manifold or not, not gonna upgrade if he doesnt have to

Hope someone has some info

thanks

bolts right up. Perfect upgrade for the first gen.

All eclipses have the same flange, 1st and second gen have the same flange, just the turbo is different, but the flanges are the same.

93Turbo is right: 16g = stock replacement.

Also, I've never seen someone lose their AC or PS due to a turbo install... that's just something they choose to ditch in the name of power.

If the stock exhaust manifold is cracked, which it probably will be if it's never been replaced, then a 2nd Gen one will work and flow much better as well. It's a decent upgrade and they can be found reasonably cheap too.

best to get is the ported '95 manifold and if you can find a REAL evo 16g, get it. becareful, some people sell a fake knock off evo turbo.

Anyone have hookups for a nice used evoIII 16g?

And I agree with the above info, 2g mani flow and turbo as a direct bolt on.

If his car is a manual tranny, than it bolts right in. If the car is an auto, than he need a manifold and o2 housing from a manual car. The auto came with the tiny 13b turbos.
