DSM 450's - Cel Code 20 & 0
I recently installed DSM 450's with 10 ohm 10 watt 10% resistors. Radio Shack sold 5% resistors for like $3/ea and well, yeah, i opted out for the cheap 10%'s. Now the CEL is on and it shows a code 20 and then stays on (i'm assuming it's a Code 0 for faulty ECU). Could the 10% resistors be at fault? Anyone had this problem?
when you did them you put the resistors on the yellow/black wire going to each injector correct?
code 20 is the eld right? if so disable it in crome if thats what your using.
check the resistance on the resistors to make sure they are good.

one resistor to each wire. it's wired up right, 100% sure of that. Code 20 is the ELD, which detects excess amperage draw on the circuit that governs the headlights, fuel injection, charging system etc... I've got a p28 equivalent ECU (P06 rigged up to be a p28 thanks to stealthmode). P28's don't even have an ELD (and i turned it off in Uberdata), but i still get that CEL even when i reset the ECU?!? I didn't check the resistors, but the car did run without a CEL for an hour or so.
the ELD will never show up on its own. fix code zero and u'll be fine. oh, andif u want a proper resistor box, pm me, i still have a few of them. i still dont know why people use those silly inline resistors
