driving w/ no downpipe?
I am installing my 14b turbo kit, and the only thing I don't already have is a downpipe that I am going to have fabricated for me. Can I drive the car with no down pipe to the exhaust shop, or do I need to trailer it there?
I am afraid of the turbo spooling too much with no back pressure. Also the heat in the engine bay.
Please let me know. Would be about a 20 min drive.
Thanks

It would create a total mess in your engine bay and/or melt anything on that side of the turbo.
It would be better to put the stock header back on, drive to the shop and put the turbo and manifold back on there. Or tow it.
