Ok, since this seems to be THE board for info/buys on DRAG turbo kits(thanx to ben) I just wanted ask a few sinple questions. Well, through thepartstrader.com I came across a really good deal on a DRAG III for a 99-00 Si. I'm going to be putting this kit on a 88 CRX HF with a B18B(LS) motor.

Whilist browsing the boards I cam across the specs for the various drag kits(again thanx ben).

B18 is a T3/T04E .54 Stage 3 63 Trim
B16 is a T3/T04B Super V-72 63 Trim
(not that I know what either of these specs mean)

I was just wondering how the B16A turbo kit will act on a B18B motor. I'm guessing since the B16 kit was made for a lower exhaust flow motor, that it will spool up quicker on a larger flow B18.....than the actaull B18 kit. Does any of this make since? Anyways you guys hit me back with your thoughts would ya?

The Super-V is probably THE fastest spooling 450+hp wheel in existance. The only thing you are losing out to the E.54 is some top-end efficiency.

 

well at a 7000 rpm rev limit "top-end" isn't a very big concern. PLus my car cuts mid/low 14 passes as it sits so.........this turbo is gonaa be overkill....heh heh heh. what ya think?

 

Mid/low 14s? Overkill? Someone needs to get his *** whooped by a FAST car one of these days.

 

You're quite funny. I never said my car was fast. I'll admit it's quick, GSX's and GSR's can't keep up. I"m only looking to make a perfectly streetable 'stang/camero/'vette killer I'm sure that will be "Fast" enough. I take it you drive one of these "fast" cars tho? Hmmm?
