Drag racing with boost...
okay, from searching and finding out more about how axles break when launching hard and having a lot of power at the wheel, i have one question.
if someone like me does not have upgraded axles, would it be a better idea to launch with say 8 psi and then after the launch switch to say 12 psi? would this prevent axle breakage and would it help any?
im going to the track after my car is done and i dont want to break any axles,so if anyone has any good ideas could you share.

I have a friend who just spent I think $500 on aftermarket race axle's and he broke one on his frist trip to the track with them.
I'd save the money till the axle needs to be replaced. IMO

ur not gonna see any boost on the luanch unless u r running a 2 step. so i don't think changing the boost is gonna make a difference.
things that will help prevent breaking axles:
-quaffe: distribute power equally to both wheels
-Traction bars: Eliminate wheel hop
-good suspension: hieght of the car and suspension travel can make a difference, u want the axles to sit as flat as possible.
-sprung clutch: They can't put as much power down they can slip and take stress of the drive train.
-umm lastly? shitty tires: ok im jk, but if u absolutly can't afford to break an axle i wouldnt run on slicks
