can the drag manifold be welded together?

mine cracked somehow and i was wondering if i take it to a welder if they will be able to weld it back. what kind of material is the drag manifold made of, i was thinking its a cast iron manifold?

where did it crack exactly? my friends cracked right in the middle in line with the oil dipstick and he welded it together. no leaks yet after 1000 miles or so.

 

mine is where the last bolt is on the manifold by the timing belt.

 

DAMN.....how do you crack a cast mani???

yeah, i took it into a welding shop today. they said they can weld it with no problems.

 

yeah jb welded would've came off.
