Drag Gen 3 Troubleshooting Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got a 98 Teg GSR with Drag Gen 3 Turbo kit. Well, at low rpms it bogs really bad and the vacuum/boost gauge reads close to 0 in/vac - boost. Is it the Blow off valve that needs adjustment? Fuel Pressure?
Thanks Guys

At low rpms you wont have any boost should it should read 0. When my o2 sensor was acting up my car bogged a lot too. Did u install it yourself or did a shop do it?
I installed it myself. The Vortech fmu is a (12:1) right? is that too much? It doesn't go into boost (past 0 on gauge) but it bogs sometimes. It seems as if I open up the throttle it stutters and then gets up and goes.
come on turbo gurus! some body has got to be able to help this guy out!

did you use check valves or the missing link? ... is your check engine light coming on? if you cant get passed 0psi on your gauge go back and check all your intercooler pipes to make sure you have no leaks, might as well check all your vacuum lines again while your at it.
sounds like a loose intercooler pipe to me....

Ok here's the deal, the car boosts but the thing is after it boosts, it bogs like crazy off the line. THere is a CEL light which is #3 (high manifold pressure) so I know it's seeing boost. The check valves aren't on but is that what causes it? I have a J&S safeguard V.2 that has the map bypass circuit, so doesn't that eliminate the need for the check valves? The a/f gauge reads rich almost all the time. I adjusted the stock idle down to 42psi but it still reads rich. Anyhow, thanks for all the help.
If you don't have a missing link or any check valves your car will be "LIMP" mode - Honda ECU's can't read boost, it thinks that something is wrong that is why it is throwing that code, the ecu is dumping a **** ton of fuel into the engine to keep it from detenation it doesn't know better!! Get the missing link or get DSM 450's and do the AFC-Hack, these will solve your problem
