Default DRAG GEN 3 MANI ?

i ported my wastegate opening on my drag mani today, and noticed that the hole dosent line up so good on the gasket like at least 3/16 off or so. Could this cause the notorius boost spike problem? well i havent tested it yet but has anyone else don this and if so dos it work?

The wastegate gasket?? The one between the manifold and wastegate? Just run with no gasket. As for the boost spike problem its the Deltagate wastegate and the wastegate placement on 1 cylinder that cause that.

Besides going with a tial wastegate and porting out the manifold, would going with a bigger size and/or open dump tube help spiking problems?

I would also like to know what can be done about this.

I plan on porting the mani...I cant imagine that we are just screwed. With as many people running drag kits as there are, there has to be a solution.

THere is a solution, get a different mani. Boost creep is inevitable on those mani's with a "3 exhaust. ONly soultion I could offer would be to provide some added back pressure on your exhaust(2.25~2.5" size), and run a very free flowing dump tube. Porting will hlpm but not solve the problem
