drag gen 3
im looking at the gen 3 for my 98 ex. what turbo does it use? ive heard that the spool up is at 5k or more. is this true? right now i have an aem cam gear,msd6,vafc,evo exhaust,dc header,random cat,55 shot. im worried that ill be slower due to spool up time,can the stock bottom end take the power of the gen 3 and still give me more than im getting with the nos. i really need to know i dont want to do if im gonna loose 1/4 mile time.other than what i have what does everybody recomend to use along with the gen 3 kit

The size turbo for your applcation would be a T3/T04b the larger one(T04E) is mostly for the B18 motors. You can expect full boost at around 4500rpm, which could be 6-7.5psi. If that is too late for you, you can always use the 50 shot to help you out low end. Though, I would suggest you getting larger injectors and possbly a block guard to be safe.

how hard is the gen 3 to install? and also how are the injectors to do ive did the vafc it was pretty easy just wondering if i can do myself

The Drag turbo is not hard to install at all for someone with no prior experience with turbo installs. My prior experience was just exhaust, header, and CAI nstallation. But just make sure you set enough time aside to install it, don't rush!! A qualty install pays off in the end. It took me about 3 1/2 days to complete the whole thing, which includes going to the store and gong to the muffler shop. Though, I wish I could have taken off a whole week of work to just be safe.
Also make sure you do some research on the install, just to give you an idea of what everything is and does. When you get the Drag kit in the mail, it has NO instructions and you have to pretty much piece everything together in your head, especially the piping.

The instructions are on the importparts.com website under the customer service. Even though it is mainly for intregras, it will give you an idea of what you are getting into.
It is not hard, but very frustrating at time, but in the end when everything running, you will feel good. Also you learn soo much.
