Drag downpipe doesn't fit???
I just tried to put on the down pipe for my civic turbo and it will not fix. I have a D16Z6 and a Drag gen 3 turbo kit in a 95 civic ex. Every time I try to make the downpipe sit flat against the compressor, it hits a connector between the trans and the engine. If I take off the connector, the downpipe fits but I would assume since Honda put it there, its there for a reason.
So what should I do? By the way, the connector has one big bolt connecting it to the trans and two other bolts connecting to the engine (one is shorter than the other). Please help, I need to drive my car again. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem.
Check and make sure the engine block and downpipe are not hitting.
There was a small piece of the block that prevented the downpipe from fitting properly. I had to do some shaving.

It's not actually touching the block. It's thats damn connecting piece. Do you guys think I should dent the downpipe in or just shave some off the connecting piece?
A few Drag kits I've seen (including mine) were like that. I had to cut the downpipe and reweld it at a slightly different angle. It was a pain, but it had to be done.
Same thing happened to my friend's kit. It didn't really hit anything, but it was angled so far up, you couldn't connect it to the exhaust piping.

How much do you think a shop would charge to cut it and reweld it? Because I have to get the shop to put a flange on it anyway so I might as well let them do that also assuming its not too much money.
