Default Drag car turbo setup finished (minor problems now)

It has been done for a while, I am trying to get it running right, aside from working on other cars and getting painted it hasn't had the attention it needs. It is having a little problem, this is the best I can describe it.

I will start off in second gear lay into it around 3 grand, vtec engages at 5K, its all good. But at like 57-6K, the car just shuts off.. it has no power at all, then you put it in 3rd to cruise, still no power. You can floor it and it goes no where at all. Then turn the car off, and turn it back on, it runs perfectly fine. Untill you go up and do the same thing. It went through the whole RPM range a few times without lossing power, but it doesn't do it often.

Another thing I tried is giving it like 25 percent throttle. I go through 2 gears doing this, just trying to rule out a few things and it let me go through 2nd and 3rd, but shifted to 4th, through a TPS code and started running bad again. I am kinda stumped on this one. The car runs perfect unless you lay into it. You can drive it around for hours when not getting on it. Eh, just a little post for a update and problems.

I am swapping out the TPS and trying a new speed sensor and trying to get ahold of a new dizzy.

would like to add, cam timing and ignition timing is perfectly fine. Also A/F is acceptable, even during the loss of power.

Yep. boost is no problem. It runs PERFECT then it is like someone just throws it into a brick wall.

It threw a TPS code 1 time. I am going over all the grounds and adding some grounds to see if it helps. Thanks for the input though.

Would this be because you were dropping out of vtec? As far as I know, my oil pressure is decent WOT.

I haven't tried to calibrate it yet. It is one with the rivets of whatever in it. I am going to put a notch in it so I can move it. I think I am going to just switch it out with one I know is good. And give it a shot.

I switched throttle bodies and changed the TPS. So new map sensor and new TPS. I cleaned up the grounds at the thermostat housing. I am going to take it out later tonite to see what happens.

swapped TB, TPS, MAP and new dizzy. The only thing I didn't try in the dizzy is a new coil. I used the old one from the first dizzy. I cleaned the ground at the thermo housing. I have great oil pressure in vtec and in the upper RPMs. I am starting to lose my mind. This stupid **** always seems to happen to me.

I think sometimes that nothing is even really wrong with the car she just gives you problems to get attention.

This may actually be the problem. I have a D16 VSS in the car. It was the only one I had.. the damn tranny had a cable sensor in it when I got it.

I just got another coil and I am going to try that tomorrow. If that doesn't do it, the VSS is coming out and a good b-series from my LS is going in.

what ecu are you running? could be something like the boost cut that hondatas have, this will shut the car off for a second.

It isn't a boost cut, and it doesn't shut off for a second. After full boost, even in cruise it runs like complete ****. So it isn't a boost or ecu problem that I am aware of.

IT was ran on crome and uberdata, both are doing the same thing. The ecu is a JDM P30. And I tried a P28 and P06, same ****.

Yea, I wish it would just be something easy, like a check engine light or something. Not this crap. It is almost impossible to trouble shoot.

I am even going to go as far as changing the harness if I have to.

It makes around 11 psi, wastegate spring. It isn't really boost dependent. I did a few runs making like 1 psi of boost and running it through the gears. and it takes longer for it to shut off. I can rev out 2nd and 3rd.. then by the end of third it will take a ****. ANd that isn't boosting it at all. I am going to mess with it tomorrow, run it without vtec and what not to see what happens. Iwill get some logs as well.
