Ever heard that 80's rock song "IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!" and then it busts in with some synthesizer? Replace count with melt. Gonna melt the whole motor housing down and kill your fan, most likely.

Wrap your DP with thermo wrap, this will help.

Do yourself a favor and get a FAL fan, pulls much more air and lessens the chance of your car overheating.

You need a pusher fan on that setup. The housing is gonna melt and then cause the fan to stop working, and then the car will overheat. I'm sure you know this already . . . Alsom you might as well wrap the DP because it is kinda close to the radiator.

if you cant afford a slim fan then i would cut the section so it doesnt have direct contact with the DP then wrap that area of the DP good with some header wrap..then it should be fine
or just wrap the **** outta it and dont cut the shroud and see if it gets hot enough to melt it..either or

My wastegate dump ran in the same location. After two weeks the whole siade of the fan shroud had melted, and the fan was hitting the melted pieces when it ran. Sounded ghetto, looked ghetto, smelt ghetto.
Wrapped the tube with heat wrap, problem solved.
