Downpipe Material Type Question

Default Downpipe Material Type Question

My choices: (Need opinions from DA boost heads)

* 304 SS 18 gauge
*304 SS 16 gauge
*Mild Steel 16 gauge * Cheapest


- Is Mild Steel doable for a 3" downpipe for 4 bolt 50 trim T3/T4 at 250whp ?
-Pros/Cons please.

Haha i found my answer.

You can use mild steel with no problems, except for the rusting later on.

It's not that the stainless is stronger in any sense, it's just the resistance to rusting. Andddd I think you have your thicknesses confused
