Default Doing it the RIGHT way...the FIRST time.

So as some of you may know, I'll be picking up a 1992-1995 civic hatch and swapping in a B18B shortly after. I'll then be bolting up a MAX-REV turbo kit. I'm still in the process of doing a lot of research. I started to ask myself...why not just skip all the mumbo jumbo and just grab a Standalone EMS?

So now I'd probably want a Hondata judging from what others have said. I won't need anything fancy...just something to allow me to have the car TUNED the way it should be. I'm thinking maybe a 2b and 440cc injectors will be sufficient for me. Would you suggest purchasing a seperate boost controller or does Hondata control boost as well? What about a nice standalone fuel pressure regulator (like an aeromotive?)...or once again...does hondata control this too?

Any suggestions? Links to articles I should read, etc?

if you're getting hondata you should read all the pages & pdf files they have at http://www.hondata.com ....
I got a turbo kit for my '99 Si and put the Hondata on at the same time as the turbo. You'll want a separate boost controller and a good 1:1 rate FMU (like an aeromotive )

If i were you i'd get 550cc injectors. You'll be able to run lower fuel pressures with that. With 440s and 10pounds of boost, i'm running about 58psi of static pressure.

Cool thanks, what stage Hondata are you running, and what are your reactions to it?

Speed Pro has its own Wideband O2

Just ask Xerxes how much he spent on tuning and then ask him how much he paid for his wideband

sorry mike hehe.

just find yourself some $50 cheapo DSM 450cc injectors, get them tested & recleaned, and wire a resistor box. better than paying out a wad of cash for brand new 550cc injectors

I have hondata 2b w/ dsm 440s. it WAS running really well but i really would not mind going with an EFI system...it was very impressive when i saw it in action.
