im looking to get this kit and just wanted to see if any if u guys see anything missing besides the filter... and do u think its a good price 1700 shipped COD... used for 10k...

 

I don't see the feed or the return line but thats no biggie.

 

i dont see a gasket for the turbo. but that is just 8 bucks. also looks like you are missing a few hoses. but that is about 22 bucks for a foot.

other than that it looks fine. i would try to get the guy to knock off 60 bucks so you can just go ahead and rebuild the turbo. also try to do it escrow so you can check the play in the shaft of the turbo if he will not take off money to get it rebuilt. i would also recomend you checking to make sure the intercooler does not have any cracks or anything. i guess you could fill it with water or some thing.

Hmm...Is it just me, or is that not the intercooler that comes with the Drag kit? That one looks longer and thinner.

 

That is kind of what I was thinking....

 

that intercooler looks just like mine. Except mine is shinier. The silicone hose connectors are supposed to be blue like all drag kits, i think, the fuel pump does not look like the Airtex the drag comes with, besdies that u look good.

 

only the very early drag kits came with those square endtanks on the IC.

 

maybe that means the kit has a little bit more then 10k miles on it? better check for shaft play.

 

if i was to get it rebuilt where should i go do it at??? so is this a good buy???

I just had a good dealing with Majestic Turbo. Very good customer support and they really know their stuff. they will warranty their rebuilds for 6 months too. I just bought a new turbo from them and will send my other one to them for a complete redo.

 

majestic definatly knows their stuff. Ask for kevin. Probobly the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They had me a turbo built and sent out to me in 4 daays.

 

the kit looks pretty complete and you dont need a gasket for the turbo to manifold, those 2 surfaces seal. I am pretty sure that is a intercooler from a first gen drag kit too.......Mike
