I was browsing through the Junkyard and ran across a Turbo Mercury Capri. I noticed the map was still there so I took it, figuring it was 2 bar by looking at the boost gauge on the gauge cluster (15psi).
Anyone every try one of these maps?

Do you mean 3BAR? The OEM Honda MAP is 2BAR, if I'm not mistaken.

 

I can pick up GM 2 bars at the junkyard for a $1 all day long.

anyone?? I just found out that this is a Mazda peice. Apparently Mazda did the motor set up for Ford in these cars...
Question still stands...anyone know anything about this map sensor?

If it was 1 bar it wouldn't read any boost. It would read atmospheric pressure which is 14.7psi and nothing more.

 

Hmmm...I thought Hondas read up to 11psi (under 1 BAR)

 

Yes but thats 11psi over atmospheric which is already around 1 bar, so the honda sensor reads 14.7psi plus ~11 psi
