Default Does this Filter solution look like itll work??

I picked up a flexible aluminum duct piping that is 3" in diameter from home depot.
do you think this will work? will it get too hot?

oh, dont mind the panty hose, im not driving this thing around right now, im just putting it there so nothing gets in it.

forgot to ask, when i get a filter, does it matter if i get one that will clamp INSIDE the aluminum duct or one that will clamp AROUND/OUTSIDE the duct.

Well if you clamped it on the inside, the filter would have to have a hard surface inlet, rather than a rubber one, or else its not going to tighten.

is the tubing exactly 3"

i have an "almost 3" " short ram,
and a kn cone filter, and I just shoved the kn filter inside the shortram, no fastener or anything, the kn has a rubber end, so it just shoved in and is nice'n tight!!

you could use a short piece of 3" pipe(around 1-2"), clamp the filter on one side, shove the hose on the other end up to the end of the filter and clamp it down.
