Do yall think I can drive with my Bogarts on the street?
I have a set of Bogart Fly Star on 22/13/8 M&H slicks. I was wondering if I can drive these thing's safely on the street, or if other people actually do this? A friend of mine, Turbodandee, uses his stock Honda 15 inch wheels and put a set of 22/15/8 Mickey's and goes out driving to street races and he said he has no problems. Although he raises the tire pressure to 30 or so psi. Can I do this with the Bogarts? I never would of thougt of doing so before, but it seems tempting if I can do so! Also I have stock wheel studs so the lug nuts don't go through all the way!
Thank's!

That would be really really dumb to drive your expensive, soft, bogarts on the street. First pothole and you just fugged your wheels.
Also, extended studs are required to use those wheels.
Driving with slicks is kinda dumb too. Wrinkle walls are not designed to go fast around turns, nor are they designed to go around turns at a high rate of speed---high rate meaning more than like 10-15 mph.
Also, extended studs are required to use those wheels.

This just seems really dumb to me. Are you really that hard core of an illegal street racer? No wonder cops always harrass me....

I would suggest against it David, those bogarts are delicate and very expensive... i would suggest going my route, stock wheels and 15" slicks. I knew a few people that have done it my way also and they have never fucked their **** up.

DAMN......you ask a simple question and you got people calling you dumb! Try to be civilized why don't you! Anyway's, like I said in the Drag Racing forum, i'm gonna try a test run on Sunday, but most likely I will just throw them in the trunk. And no I am not a hardcore street racer. I haven't been out street racing in quite some time, but yes traction is a bitch.

I did for a little and I mean for a mile, I had 22 x 9.5 x 13 on bogarts, there nothing like ripping it on the street and the wheels are sticking out of the fender wells, and then stopping at the next light and people just stare at you like a retart, just give them a smile and pop it at 9000 and its all good shoot some rubber at them HAHAHAHA! if you hit a hole with the bogarts your done! just becareful, this is not highly recommended but you got to do it at least once in your life if you get the chance!

If you don't see a DOT rating number on the wheels, they should not be on the street.

yes, I would get these before I tried the slicks/bogarts on the street.
but if u insist on running the slicks w/ bogarts on the street at least do me a favor and:
a) drive to the spot on regular tires to prevent slick wear and potentially dangerous situations.
b) install the slicks down the street from the spot and when u get done racing go back to home base and mount the safe rim/tires before you go anywhere else.

That's what I will most likely do!

There is a reason why the Domestic "Street car challenge" races allow ONLY the changing of TIRES AND WHEELS after to 10-30 mile cruise to prove drivability. Because the drag wheels and slicks are NOT meant for the street.
I've got 7 Rota Subzero's right now that are as follows:
4 with Potenza S-03 street tires.
2 with 22" MT slicks.
1 with a no name, 195/50/15 unitread design used as a full size spare to clear a big brake kit I plan on getting soon. Fastbrakes
That is all ANYONE should ever need for any street car, except 4 more for some Victoracers.
On the street, if there is ssomeone I'm worried about racing, I'll disappear for 5 minutes, reappear in the car that looks EXACTLY the same as when it left, only the secret... Slicks WILL be in effect.

It might not be recommended but in jersey if you come out on full slicks its nothing special. Plenty of races when people come out on skinnies and full slicks on the street. Just dont get caught by the D's and you should be straight.
