im thinking of getting one but heard they make you go way lean.....is this true??? anyone with a wideband or similar seen changes when using this???

If it cools the intake charge like they say it does, then you'll be getting a colder, denser charge, and on an FI setup that doesnt use temp correcton under boost like those using the hack and a stock ecm, there is a good chance you could run lean.

They do spray the outside of the intercooler. I would also like to know more about these.

they spray outside but the cooler denser air when combused is thought to make you run lean by some people. i just want to make sure b4 i get one.

Just remember. They spray through the intercooler, but what is behind it......your compressor housing inlet. If you dont have a filter that is routed away from the turbo then your engine might ingest some of the no2----which may ultimately cause lean condition.

Check into this guy named "Twitch" he makes a homemade version of the NX think, thats just as good...

I wouldn't waste the money anyway... $500 ( and sell your old IC )= MO BIGGER IC...

it would be easy to make with a bottle of c02, a solenoid, some braided line and some copper or steel tube with small holes drilled in the right places.

A drop in ambient temp alone caused my AFC hack setup to run lean so I think the drop in intake charge caused by a colder IC from the N2O spray will have the same effect but by how much is anybodys guess..

I would be very interested to see this tested with a WB.

If your car isn't tuned on the edge of knock, maybe a little rich, then I'd think it'd be an "OK" idea, but its really not cost effective.

I'm sure it could cause the car to run a little leaner, but I doubt it would make the car good from kinda rich/stoich to BAMMM, klank klank klank...

I think it's just be usefull to cure "heatsoak", but alcohol and some washer sprayers can do that...

Water/alcoy injection is a much better idea... and even cost half as much...

if an IC sprayer is actually working, then of course its gunna run leaner if you dont have the proper fueling.

if the air going in is colder, its denser and has more oxygen, so it needs more fuel. thats how it makes the extra power.

if these can actually make 40 hp, then you're gunna need a decent amount more fuel for all that extra air.

They dont make 40 hp. Go to what I posted above. This is how they claim this hp.

i doubt NX is basing they're claim on accidently injested N2O. If they can make the IC cold enough, 20 - 40 hp gains are possible.

I know that Gruvy has tuned a few cars in which he said the car would go way lean and break up when the spray hit. I suggested to maybe try the hondata nitrous control function to add whatever amounts of fuel neccessary to make it work well.

see im running the stupid hack so im pretty limmited to one fuel curve so i guess i should probably pass on it....

i got mine on but only a 5 lb bottle. . and after tryin to fix a leak and most the bottle wasting away. . it was empty for the track. . so i couldnt tell u how it works for me, would've been nice to have tho it was SO hot out there.
