do i need to re-bore for ls/vtec
Hey whats up, i am just realyl curious to know if im going to have to re bore out my block in order to get the b16 or gsr pistons that i need to allow my block to accept a gsr head without having the valves hit my pistons???
I also heard you just get it re-honed if i spelt it right if its not blown??
Also could i possibly just get my pistons machined a little to allow the clearence for the valves on the gsr head?? thanks!

You dont need to overbore you ls block to fit b16pistons. All b-series blocks are 81mm bore. You may want to rehone out your cylinder walls though.
well i already have my block bored 20 over, and i really dont want to start shaving too much off the cylinder walls, Everyone keeps telling me i need to bore it out more but i dont see why i cant just get b16 pistons to the same size of my ls pistons now?? im about to check that site out now though, but any more info let me know...
i tried searching for this topic but i couldnt find any other info on it really about whether or not if it has already been bored over once before do you need to re-bore it out more to put new b16 pistons in their place....
