Do I need to get a MSD 6AL box
I got a 97 b18c1 block w/ USDM ITR pistons and comp springs and retainers. I'm ptrsently ruinning a MSd 6A box I'm in theprocess of getting together my first turbo kit together. Since the 6A don't have a rev limiter will it be ok to use the factory rev limiter??? I heard that its a actual fuel cut off, if so will it kill my motor ??? I'm only running low boost (7-9psi), also do anybody make a add on module or a box that I can add to my MSD instead of buying the 6AL box???

What are you using to tune the engine with? Normally you can set a rev limit with your EMS. The MSD gear is junk OEM tends to be more reliable I wouldn't buy anymore of it.

bump because i always wondered the saem, i plan on using CROME and always wondered if it could use the ignition for revlimit instead of fuel. i have a ctr swap with an n1 pulley and 8lb flywheel so that bitch jumps and hits the revlimiter very often. inaccurate factory tach makes it hard too.

MSD gear often causes problems, the OEM ignition is fine untill your way up there in the HP levels.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bigsubs »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Why you don't like MSD?
