Do I need the gasket between the mani and turbo or is it not nessecery?

 

I dont use one on mine. As long as the surfaces are perfectly flat (like they should be) you wont have any problems.

 

It looks flat but wont i have a exhaust leak if i dont put a gasket?

 

get a straight edge and put it across the surface to see if it is perfectly flat.....if both surfaces are completly flat, where would it leak from?

 

Carbon works well at sealing leaks.

 

This is true. I knew a guy that always put a thin layer of grease between his turbo and mani when it was apart to speed up this sealing.
