Re: do dads for boost going in (turbo sol)
is it me or is that boost gauge not really facing the driver? I'd have to say that if the sun is right, you won't be able to read it.

I've always wanted to put a gauge there. How did you get it to fit so good? Like, how did you get it to bend?
Heres what I did on my CRX:

Since we're all posting ghetto sheeyit, here's mine... I was unwilling to sacrifice vents... mine is a straight street car that I use year-round.
It's already got holes cut for 2 more gauges to fit, and it's edged with black moulding so it looks cleaner . It's also wired with trailer hitch wiring for quick disconnection. The big switch to the left of the shift **** is the toggle between the primary and secondary O2 sensors on the B16A SiR1 manifold... also hooked up with a trailer hitch plug.
BTW in that picture my car's in neutral. How f-'ed up is YOUR shift linkage?

Re: do dads for boost going in (raene)
as far as the vent goes. i still have one in the door that works plus the two in the middle. I dont have AC so i didnt lose anythign by placing it in the vent, it make ti look cleaner and you don't have the tall tell sign of gauge pods on your pillar.
I plan to have the turbo in, in about 4 months. we'll see since its my only car.
The photo was taken from the side to include the turbo timer and boost gauge, my camera wasnt wide enoughto get both from the drivers persepective. It actually faces the driver quite squarely, and the best part is it reflects inthe windshield so i have a H.U.D. in my car now!
for the del sol thing, I had one recently and wrecked it then bought the CRX after i sold the sol, I kept all the parts off it so that is the turbo i will be using. The CRX is lighter and easier to find body parts for. I also wanted to keep the name i had been using for a while now.
i managed to get the gauge in using the vent as a template and cutting sheet metal to fit, then sprayed it with undercoating to give it the textured look. i am quite happy with it.
so enjoy.
