no, thats not it. If that were the case, my b18b would be 28188 CC's. Its like .8668 or somthing, I cant remeber.

bore x pi x stroke x #cylinders = displacement

(1/2(Bore in CM) squared) * 3.1459 * Stroke * cylinders.

For example on a d16, 75 MM bore with 90MM stroke:

1/2(7.5CM ) squared * 3.1459 * 9 CM * 4 = 1592 CC

Check 'volume of a cylinder' in the geometry book

Volume of a cylinder =
pi * r² * stroke ... or
pi * (bore/2)² * stroke

then multiply by the number of cylinders to get total engine displacement.

Hey jthelman,
D'oh! Guess I should have hit the post button to reply a little sooner, huh?

Okay, I know I can get it that way, but awhile back I saw a really easy equation that just involved 3 numbers multiplyed by each other. I remeber playing with it a bit, but I can remeber what the third number was. I know for sure it was bore x stroke x another number like .8933423 (some long decimal). Or was I just dreaming?

Ummmm, Okay, but you do realize this is the same equation everyone else gave you 3-4 times!

I put it in the simplest form since it's the easiest to comprehend!

I have more equations/calculator links somewhere!

Yeah, I gave you the wrong equation. I think my equation would give you the area of the walls of the cylinders, though!

Yeah....that's kind of useless

Damn! Five years of college down the drain!

pi * r² * stroke * cylinders is the right one.
