Default Discrepancy: Vafc vs. Autometer

i recently installed the hack on a friends cars and noticed that the apexi was reading about .6bar or around 9psi. i took it for a drive and noticed the boost gauge spike up to 15psi and then stay at 12psi and the max on the VAFC says it was .6 bar. What gives, is his gauge screwed? should he just go off the apexi or go off the boost gauge? plugs looked good and rich and it didn't throw a CEL so i am kind of lost... any help please

autometer guages are known to be in-accurate.

I always trust my sensors....(when they're working)

Yeah I have been through 3 autometer gauges and out of the 3 every one reads different boost on my car. My boost is also very consistent since I am supercharged.

my autometer sucked too, it stuck at 6psi even though the afc read .6bar. The needle would not move smoothly it would usually "skip" up. I swapped it out for a blitz boost gauge and it is dead on with the afc.

I think this has something to do with the fact that the safc reads absoloute pressure and the autometer reads from atmospheric. or the other way around

I rememeber reading something like that too, that it doesnt account for what elevation you are at.
