Wow Rod, I'll have to consider those Disco Potatos a bit more for our next customer setup

The Sc-61 bandwagon is now unloading passengers, the train to GT28RS will be boarding at platform B, GT30 is platform G.

so far in all of my research this seems to be my top pick for my LS turbo build

from what I can tell the power is there without hardly any lag and it also seems to be smoother delivery then some of the larger turbo's that blast all of the power all of a sudden at higher RPM's

I see that it comes with an internal wastegate though...is there a version of it that does not come with one, so i can use a tial 38mm?

hopefully I'm not waaaay off, but if I am correct me, I'm here to learn

I've been searching and I can't really tell if I'm on the right track

I have Rc440's walboro 255lphHp pump, I'll use hondata and I have an AEM fpr

will that be a good enough fuel setup to utilize this turbo at 10 or 11psi for the track, on a stock LS motor

I plan on running 7-8psi daily

**grabs ticket to board platform B

thanks in advance

Nick

w/ a little extra work you can probably get away fine w/ the internal wastegate...i think falcongsr has some experience getting steady boost w/ them...

is there a way to easily eliminate the internal wastegate and use a Tial instead?

Hmm... I wonder... How much power do the bigger brothers of the Disco support? Quick response and power sounds nice...

this turbo will give you a nice trq curve that starts real quickly....perfect for a "quick" street car. i wonder how much can be made with this turbo on a b series motor.....considering the size of the turbine wheel and the backpressure at higher levels.

Guys, im helping 2 of my mates turbo their b16a civics.

Ima slo in the process of doing my own. They both will be running GT28's rated at 320hp, so im thinking that this sized turbo is really along the same lines as the "disc potato".

Ill be runninga conventional t3/t4 from the older drag kit, so it will be good to compared the setups.

I mean they are extremely nice and I want one bad, because you know as well as i do that there really arent many high quality manifolds for d series under 500 bucks.....There would be a lot of people buying them also and the only difference would be the head flange? I just dont understand......Its an outrage and discriminative against the D series followers of america and other countries!</TD></TR></TABLE>

Im gonna have to second this request!!!

Hey guys any more info comparing the GT28R and the disco potato GT28RS, the GT28R seems like a great match for a D series engine, also will these bolt up to the HKS cast manifold

There really aren't any big brothers to the disco potato. Again, this is a T25 exhaust housing and 340-hp is as big as this goes as far as I know.

You can't really say that people should be jumping off the SC61 bandwago on the GT28RS (or really even be on a bandwagon, for that matter). The SC61 is double the horsepower (340 vs 680) and is a T3/T4 hybrid, so you're really not comparing apples to aplles.

Which is best for you depends on the engine application and the kind of performance driving you want to do.
