different emissions test
does anyone know, or is anyone a NJ DMV inspector. I have a boosted prelude, most likely not passing emission in nj, but i am told with proper tune, and no cat it MAYBE is possible, nevertheless, i am prob going to strap in a highflow cat, then tune, maybe put some octane booster in, whatever it takes, BUT my real question and purpose of the thread
when i went to the DMV, they said they couldnt test my car and it woudl fail becuase i have a 99 prelude odb2, but i currently run NepTune on a odb1 ecu. so when the dmv goes to plug my car into their machine through that blue connector or whatever colro it is, their computers cannot read the obd1 ecu? how and i suppose to get by this, everyone keeps telling me it goes by the year of ure car, and not by anythign else, so any prelude odb2 simply plug up to this machine and the obd2 basically talkes to the DMVs computer and tells it thats theres no recognized errors and that everythgin is ok............. any ideas?
