Default Differences in T3's

hey guys whats up. Im making 180 WHP right now with a strait T3 with a .42 compressor. So theres a guy selling another T3 with a compressor of .60 from a thunderbird. Do you think I will be able to reach 200 WHP with that type of compressor? Also, how much do those go for usually?

Thanks,
Ian

The A/R is represented by a decimal (such as .60), not the trim. You are referring to a "Super 60" T3 with a 60 trim wheel (as opposed to a 40/45 or whatever you have). It does flow better, but, not that much. Whatever T3 you have will only be a few % less efficient at 200whp, so it's not worth it to upgrade in my opinion, since you can reach that goal at about 8-10psi, with good tuning and other components.

Is this on a B18B? How much boost are you running at 180whp?

at 300hp it was a 40hp diff i believe. I saw a graph of it once. Might give ya 10 or so. Idk.

Ya, its on a B18B. It was dynoed on a mustang dyno. I dunno the Torque really falls off after 5000 RPMs. I feel the power start to fade off in the top end. I would like to continue running 10 PSI. I figured with the increased flow of a .60 compressor that it would make a significant diference...

What do you guys think???
