Hey Guys,

How does interfacing with Hondata differ from Uberdata? Can you be equally precise when tuning with both EMS's? Do they both have all the same options? The reason I ask is because I'd like to have a shop the specializes in Hondata tune my car when it's ready, but I'll be using Uberdata cause it's cheaper. They've never even heard of Uberdata.

i worked with both and my oppinion is that hondata is far far more easier to work with then with uberdata... its much less work to do things...

if the tuner gives you a flatrate then its not your concern, if not... i think it will be more expensive because the tuner will need more time.

Yeah but can you get into specifics as to why it takes more time to tune one VS. the other?

Is it different features that one program has VS. the other?

well the last time i researched uberdata- there was no option to do real time programming.
so basically, you datalog, make changes to the bin, save bin, erase current config to the chip, and burn new bin to the chip...

while hondata you can make changes while the car is running.

 

As far as i know there is a new thing (The Ostrich) that can be used with uberdata to be able to tune on the go..Meaning that you can make changes directly, just like Hondata

you are right.

 

You can real time program. I can do a car in an hour on the dyno, with the ostrich, even stopping and reading plugs and letting it cool down. And then another half an hour on the street and it is usually good to go. All with the ostrich. Makes life easy. I usually don't spend a whole lot of time on part throttle, usually the request to keep the O2 sensor in, I just get it close.

Where can I find info on the "The Ostrich". Is it another software than you run while uberdata is running?
