Default difference between m/Tand M/H?

Are they basically the same? I mean, they are both wrinkle walls and have similar compounds right? I was looking at the M/T 24.5x8.13(tubed)and I need a site to look at the some sizes for the M&H(I was hoping for a 25" slick in a 13" rim size). I also heard that the M&H costs twice as much. Man, this is a hard choice, because everyone runs M&H, but the M/T's are cheaper.

Oh yeah, you guys think 25" slicks would be overkill for 400whp?

I've tried them both, and I prefer the compound of M&H's to M/T's. Got better 60ft times with M&H. But, as I understand it, every M&H slick is on 3month back order right now b/c they are moving their factory, so you may have a hard time getting the slick you need.

dont waste time with the M&H MT any more go with the good years. The good years are the ****. The best traction with them lowest 60ft are being posted with them now. Everyone right now is upping to 28s and they are cutting 1.4 60ft out of the unibody.s

do you know of a place that lists all the sizes they have available? I'm looking for 23x8.5x13's. Last I checked only M&H made that size, and very few slick makers make 13 inchers.

MT
24.5x8x13
24.5x9x13

M&H
22x8x13
24.5x8.5x13
24.5x9.5x13

The MT's run tubes the M&H's don't. The MT's don't need a very long burnout to warm up! The MT's will last longer than the M&H's.

What kind of power are you planning on running?

If you are making less that 300-350 whp, then I would say stick with the M&H 22x8x13 slicks. You will have a hard time turning the 24.5x8x13 with anything less than 300-350 wheel hp!

I should be in the range of 375-400whp. However, I'd like to avoid breaking axles.

that'd be really nice, but I already have Bogart Pro 4's. One of my slicks got a nail in it, and I refuse to use tubes. So I'm trying to find a different brand of slicks perhaps. Any luck with Hoosier's anyone?

What is wrong with tubes? The fact that MT's use tubes are what make them last so long! To each his own!

thers noting wrong with the tubes method. The hoosier slicks are nice but they havent figured there compounds out right now. The very sticky but still spin to much compared to the MT and MH

I find that i get a better contact patch without tubes than with.

If you get a nail in your slick, just use a regular tire repair kit that you
would use on your radial. Works fine.
